Highly skilled producer with 14 years industry experience in development and on a broad range of productions. In recent years I have built a career as a creative HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT, a skillful and persuasive CASTING PRODUCER, a talented SHOOTING PD, and as a savvy ACCESS PRODUCER.

DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND

Currently on the prestigious 'Development SuperSizers' course - specifically designed to boost leading development talent.

Relationships with all major broadcasters in factual and daytime.

A skilled writer of proposals, treatments and scripts. A proficient self shooter and sizzle edit producer. Can rough cut on Avid and Premier.

Very experienced casting. Can find excellent characters, and pitch those contributors to commissioners.

DEVELOPMENT CREDITS

Head of Development - Boom TV

Writing treatments, devising formats and pitching to BBC, S4C, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 commissioners. Shooting and editing taster tapes. Having face-to-face meetings with commissioners including Kate Teckman, Catherine Catton, Ian Dunkley, Seb Cardwell, and Lindsay Bradbury. Promoted from Development Producer to Head of Development by Creative Director Kate Thomas (before she left for Channel 4) and led the development team for 18 months. My role was to lead the development team until a new creative director was hired.

Boom TV for BBC Daytime

Having won the commission for BBC Daytime by securing access during paid development. David continued working on this series about deliveries gaining access to some of the UKs biggest names during the height of the COVID-19 restrictions. Brands included:

History AP / Development - Back In Time For Tea

Wall to Wall for BBC Two

Working across 6 programmes. In-depth fact-finding for popular living history format. Dealing with museums, academics and government institutions to acquire archive and historical facts for the series. Devising and developing potential tasks, meals and stories to tell within each programme covering a time period from 1914-2000. FS7 shooting on location.

Also assisted with the final development of 'The Sweetmakers at Christmas'
